Healing Through Words That Meet

You Where You Are

You don’t have to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral challenges alone. These workbooks were written by someone who has sat across from hundreds of patients — and who deeply understands what it means to need hope, not just information. Every page is grounded in clinical science and written with the warmth of a healer who genuinely cares.

About Lilian Melvis Everts-Ako

Born in Cameroon and shaped by a life lived across continents — from the Netherlands to the United States — I have witnessed firsthand how culture, displacement, resilience, and faith all intersect with mental health. These experiences, combined with over ten years of hands-on clinical practice in psychiatry and family medicine, fuel my passion for writing books that meet people where they are — in language they can understand, with tools they can actually use.

As the founder of Everts Psychiatry & Family Medicine in Duncanville, Texas, a devoted wife, and a proud mother of three beautiful girls, I write from a place of both professional knowledge and personal conviction. My faith grounds my purpose, and my family inspires my persistence. Every page I write carries one belief: healing is not a privilege reserved for a few — it is a right that belongs to all.
